London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has made several senior hires for in its Information Services business as it prepares to capitalise on last year’s acquisition of Russell Investments.

Caroline O’Shaughnessy will join as global head of sales and marketing, Information Services, based in London. She joins from the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), where she has works since 2008 as managing director of data services.

Prior to joining DTCC she spent six years at Thomson Reuters and has also spent time at Interactive Data.

Brian Rosenberg joins from SunGard, where he was head of sales for hedge funds and asset management in North America. He will take responsibility for North American sales at LSEG. Prior to joining SunGard, Rosenberg held roles at MSCI, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan.

Mark Makepeace, group director of Information Services at LSEG, said: “Caroline and Brian both have exceptional records of success and bring deep and highly relevant experience to London Stock Exchange Group from similar sales and marketing positions.
“Their knowledge will be especially important as we continue the integration of the Russell Indexes business into our organisation, which together with FTSE, reinforces our position as a leading global index provider.”

LSEG acquired Russell Investment in late 2014, before quickly going on to dispose of its investment management arm earlier this year, keeping its index business. It is thought the acquisition will provide opportunities for the group to build on its widely used FTSE indices and develop new derivatives products in the future.
