Barclays Capital poaches ex-Nomura Asian equities head

Barclays Capital has appointed Jack Yee as managing director, head of equity syndicate, Asia Pacific.

Yee has responsibility for managing Barclays Capital's equity syndicate function in Asia Pacific, leading the marketing, distribution and allocation of equity capital markets transactions. He is based in Hong Kong and reports to Mike Di Iorio, head of equities, Asia Pacific and New York-based Matthew Johnson, head of global equity syndicate.

Yee joins Barclays Capital from Japanese investment bank Nomura, where he was head of equity syndicate, Asia ex-Japan. Previously he spent 10 years at Lehman Brothers, working in a variety of equity syndicate and trading roles before being appointed head of equity syndicate, Asia Pacific, in 2007.

“Jack is a well known and respected industry figure, having worked on some of the most important deals in Asia,” said Di Iorio.
