FlexTrade unveils new director

Former Citi and Bloomberg man joins FlexTrade as a director.

FlexTrade has announced the appointment of a new director of sell-side order management system (OMS) technologies.

Shane Remolina will join the OMS technology group based at the company’s head office in New York and will oversee sales and business development for FlexTrade’s sell-side OMS products. He joins after nine years with Bloomberg Trading Solutions.

In a media statement, announcing his appointment, Remolina, said: “Many firms are faced with intensified cost pressures due to operations, regulations and technology, and must differentiate themselves in order to increase market share.”

At Bloomberg, Remolina was head of sales for North America and had previously had responsibility for enterprise sales and product development.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, he worked at Lava Trading which Citi group acquired in 2004. Prior to joining Lava, he worked at SunGard as an account manager between 2001 and 2003.

FlexTrade, a broker neutral systems specialist, was founded in 1996, offering products and services across asset classes and trading styles.
