CurveGlobal COO Lyall departs amid September launch.

Her departure comes at a crucial time as the LSE prepares to launch CurveGlobal on 26 September.

Cathryn Lyall, one of the most renowned figures in the listed derivatives world, has left CurveGlobal, the incoming interest rate derivatives platform from the London Stock Exchange.

Lyall, who joined CurveGlobal last year as chief operating officer, has departed to pursue new opportunities, according to a release from the LSE.

“I would also like to warmly extend my personal thanks to Cathryn Lyall for her key role in developing CurveGlobal and wish her all the best for the future,” says Andrew Ross, CEO of CurveGlobal.

Steve Hamilton, who joined the futures exchange in January as a consultant, will act as interim COO.

The departure of Lyall comes at a crucial time for CurveGlobal, which plans to go live on 26 September.

Prior to joining the exchange, Lyall was previously a director at Brazilian futures exchange BM&F Bovespa. She also served as COO for ‘exchange projects’ at ICAP, and was a managing director for CME Group’s European office.

Meanwhile CurveGlobal has named LCH’s Richard Walker as its new head of business development to lead its sales strategy.
