Rosenblatt recruits Reynolds as chief strategist

New York-based boutique broker Rosenblatt Securities has hired Brian Reynolds as its chief market strategist.

Reynolds specialises in applying credit market analysis to equity investing and has 16 years experience as a bond and money market portfolio manager. His views on equities come from analysing structural trends such as money flows between bonds and stocks and return thresholds for pensions and endowments, rather than company fundamentals.

“Brian’s unique approach to offering actionable credit market insight to equity investors fits nicely with our firm’s emphasis on deeply expert, practitioner-led analysis that doesn’t follow the standard Wall Street formula,” said Joe Gawronski, president and COO of Rosenblatt Securities. “We are delighted to have him on board.”

Reynolds joins Rosenblatt from broker-dealer WJB Capital Group, where he also served as chief market strategist. Prior to WJB, he spent 16 years as a senior vice president, economist and portfolio manager at David L. Babson & Co., and several years as the fixed income and economics columnist for TheStreet.com. Frank LoGalbo, who was the principal salesperson and marketer for Reynolds at WJB, joins Rosenblatt along with Reynolds.
