Goldman e-trading hedge fund sales head joins Dash

Robert Boylan previously led the electronic trading hedge fund sales team at Goldman Sachs and has also worked at Credit Suisse.

Multi-asset trading technology provider Dash Financial Technologies has tapped Goldman Sachs for a managing director for business development.

Robert Boylan led the electronic trading hedge fund sales team at Goldman Sachs after several years leading the broker-dealer and international electronic institutional sales group at the US bank.

In his new role with Dash, Boylan will be responsible for building on the company’s business among both its buy- and sell-side client base.

Prior to his time at Goldman, Boylan worked at Credit Suisse within the commission management sales team and later co-headed its advanced execution services sales for broker-dealers.

Peter Maragos, CEO at Dash Financial Technologies, explained Boylan is well respected across the industry.

“Between his experience in the trading technology space and the deep relationships he possesses, Boylan will be invaluable as we work to continue building our business,” he said.

Boylan commented Dash has become one of the industry’s ‘truly disruptive forces’ over the past dozen years.

“The pressures currently facing both the buy and sell sides are well known, but today’s innovative new technologies offer trading desks the tools they need to deliver real value to their firms,” Boylan said.
