FlexTrade has appointed a new multi-asset sales director who has joined the firm from the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) fixed income platform MTS.

Manuela Bauer will be responsible for expanding FlexTrade’s multi-asset sales capabilities, including the recently launched fixed income execution management system (EMS) across Europe.

She will also work closely with the buy-side to support FlexTrade’s delivery of its cross-asset trading services.

Bauer joins from LSEG’s MTS where she spent more than a year overseeing buy-side sales in Germany and the Nordics. Prior to that she held various positions within LSEG’s capital markets division.

Andy Mahoney, head of sales for EMEA at FlexTrade, explained Bauer’s experience in fixed income and her extensive network on the buy-side in Europe will ensure the firm’s pipeline continues to grow next year.

“After an exceptionally strong 2017 and the launch of our fixed income platform, [Bauer] is the perfect addition to the cross-asset sales team going into 2018,” he added.
