Australia’s Asia Pacific Stock Exchange (APX), a growth company-focused venue based in Sydney, has gone live with Nadsaq’s X-stream technology platform.

The upgrade to its systems will give APX a more scalable and robust technology offering.

X-stream will be central to the exchange’s strategy to increase its footprint in Asia and Australia, attracting more international market participants.

Commenting on the new technology, APX chief operating officer David Lawrence said: “"Its [X-stream] deployment is another sign of our commitment to building an industry-leading and groundbreaking, new pan-Asian trading platform."

APX was founded in 2004 and offers listing and secondary market trading in companies based in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. It is particularly focused on offering and alternative to listing on Shanghai and Shenzhen for Chinese companies.
