Fidessa veteran to leave company after 29 years

Head of buy-side for London-based technology vendor to leave after completion of acquisition by ION Investment Group.

Fidessa’s CEO of buy-side, Paul Nokes, has confirmed that he will part ways with the trading technology vendor after 29 years.

Writing on LinkedIn, Nokes said: “I would like to thank all the staff, customers and partners all around the world that I have worked with over many years for their contribution in making the incredible Fidessa journey so enjoyable and successful; we have all come a long long way together during the transformation of the FinTech arena.

“Sadly, for me, this (long) chapter now comes to an end but I’m really excited and enthusiastic about what the next chapter holds.”

Nokes joined Fidessa in 1990 as a software engineer, before taking on roles as global product director and strategy director, before assuming his current position as head of buy-side in January 2011.

Last year Fidessa was acquired by Dublin-based financial software and data group, ION Investment Group, a £1.5 billion deal.
