TABB director joins TP ICAP’s research business

Andy Nybo joins TP ICAP’s Burton-Taylor Consulting as director of exchange vertical research.

A managing director from TABB Group has departed for TP ICAP’s data and analytics group, Burton-Taylor Consulting.

Andy Nybo will assume the position as director of its exchange vertical research practice to build out analysis of current and historical exchange share, demand segmentation and demographics.

Nybo worked at TABB Group for over 10 years and has previously held roles at MarketAxess and The Bond Market Association.

Douglas Taylor, founder and managing director at Burton-Taylor Consulting, explained Nybo’s experience will equip the firm to deliver a more informed and granular level of insight.

“Andy has an outstanding reputation in the industry and is deeply respected for his integrity and intelligence,” he said.

TP ICAP acquired Burton-Taylor Consulting in January this year marking the first acquisition since its rebrand.

Chief executive officer at TP ICAP, John Phizackerley, explained at the time being successful in the data business requires “quality, independent, position-neutral content and that is precisely what a combination of the Burton-Taylor assets and our data and analytics division represent.”

Nybo concluded: “Exchanges continue to heavily invest in their market data businesses and are increasingly competing directly with incumbent market data providers.

“The exchange vertical will be critical for Burton-Taylor as it further expands its coverage across the market data industry.”
