As part of the launch, the firm has brought in two ex-Argentex Group hires to lead dealing and portfolio solutions on the desk; move comes amid “greater complexity around foreign exchange and interest rate risk throughout the investment lifecycle,” Marex tells The TRADE.
The past week has seen a series of senior promotions across the buy-side, including a newly created head of global markets role, as well as head of trading and dealing appointments.
Paris-based new hire is set to support the firm’s expansion of its execution strategy.
Appointment is an internal promotion; individual joined the firm in 2019.
Individual has spent seven years at the asset manager across various roles, and also previously worked at Deutsche Bank.
Individual has been promoted after almost two years at the hedge fund, and previously served at firms including Balyasny Asset Management, AllianceBernstein and Societe Generale.
The past week has seen a swathe of significant moves across the buy-side, including a head of trading departure, as well as several other senior appointments.
Individual has spent the last eight years at the asset manager, having initially joined as head of equity trading.
Industry stalwart initially joined the firm in 2001, working with the fixed income trading team.
