Abu Dhabi-headquartered brokerage ADS Securities is to open an office in Hong Kong this week.
The firm, which was founded two years ago, will operate a 40-strong team in Hong Kong in order to take advantage of Chinese yuan FX trading, which it said is a major growth area.
With significant trade between the United Arab Emirates and China, ADS Securities will be looking to exploit opportunities to facilitate transactions between the two countries.
The office will reportedly be headed by Desmond Yeo, previously from broker GFT Asia.
ADS already has a back-office and settlement business in Singapore but the new Hong Kong office will become its Asian headquarters.
The firm is also planning to open a London office at some point in the future as part of its global expansion.
