The round included Citi as the lead investor, alongside State Street, Morgan Stanley and UBS, who each invested $5 million.
Alongside the new investments, existing investor JP Morgan has also “reaffirmed its commitment to Capitolis”.
Venture capital firms Canapi Ventures, 9Yards Capital and Greenfield Partners – who all invested in Capitolis’ series D funding round in 2022 – have also increased their investments, bringing the total raised in the latest round of funding to $56 million.
Gil Mandelzis, chief executive and founder of Capitolis, said: “These investments will help us further accelerate our growth and expansion in the capital markets as we continue our strong business momentum.”
The investments are set to allow the firm to accelerate its growth across its capital marketplace and portfolio optimisation businesses and expand its product offering to its clients, according to the firm.
Capitolis previously raised $110 million in the series D funding round in 2022, totalling a $1.6 billion valuation.
Junaid Baig, head of strategic investments at BNP Paribas, said: “We’re excited to support the growth of Capitolis and collaborate with its strong leadership team in developing innovative solutions that enable us to better serve our clients.”
