Bats Global Markets has announced an agreement to provide its market data feed, Bats One Summary, to independent research firm Morningstar.
The agreement will extend the relationship between the two parties and provide investors using Morningstar with access to data from Bats US equity exchanges.
Bats One Summary launched in February last year and includes market data on the four US Bats exchanges alongside top of book quotes.
The feed is 60% less expensive per professional user and up to 86% less expensive for an enterprise license than similar competitor products, Bats claims.
Head of data and research products at Morningstar, Scott Mackenzie, explained the agreement is also part of the research firm’s plans to expand its data and content for users.
“Adding the Bats One feed supplements other content we carry from Bats and helps us meet the evolving data needs of investors globally,” he said.
