Matthieu Chardot has been handed the role of head of European execution sales at BNP Paribas, following the departure of Alexandra Foster to agency broker Instinet Europe earlier this month.

Chardot, who has relocated from the bank’s New York execution sales team, will be supported by Chris Brazier, who takes responsibility for UK execution sales.

The appointments are part of an internal reorganisation of the bank’s client-facing execution staff. “The purpose of these new internal appointments within BNP Paribas’ execution sales platform is to ensure the bank provides a more integrated and targeted service to flow, prime brokerage and fixed income platforms, including hedge fund and institutional clients,” a spokesperson told theTRADEnews.com.

In addition, Virginie Skoczen has relocated from London to Paris to head BNP Paribas’ client services desk for execution clients. Reporting to Bruno Hery, Skoczen will have specific responsibility for connectivity products.

Foster was unveiled as Instinet Europe’s head of UK sales, reporting to head of equities Peter Howard, on 6 August.
