French broker CA Cheuvreux has forged a link to South Africa’s Johannesburg Stock Exchange. According to the broker, the new connection is the latest step in its international expansion programme. It is now active on 60 execution venues, including 16 dark pools, in the European, North American, Middle Eastern and now South African markets.

“Access to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange is an important step in the development of our services in the current context of an increasing number of execution venues,” said François Simon, CEO of CA Cheuvreux, in a statement. “We have the ambition of positioning ourselves as a key source of liquidity, which involves, in addition to the access we offer to 60 execution venues, providing a full spectrum of execution services.” This includes DMA, algorithmic trading, program trading and CfDs, he added.
