Toby Bayliss has resigned as head of electronic execution sales, Europe at Citi, to take up a new position at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., the brokerage subsidiary of US-based asset management group AllianceBernstein.

Bayliss is due to join Bernstein as European head of electronic and portfolio trading in September.

A Citi spokesperson confirmed Bayliss’s departure and said that the firm would look to make a replacement in due course. “Citi remains committed to growing its world class electronic execution business to ensure that we provide our customers around the world with the greatest amount of liquidity,” the spokesperson added.
