Corvil, a provider of latency management and data capture systems for trading and market data, can now offer customers with a single platform solution following the addition of application monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting to its CorvilNet latency management system. The application latency model comes as a software upgrade module on CorvilNet appliances.
CorvilNet can now link application latency management with network latency management so that application and message latency performance can be directly related to the performance of the underlying network and server infrastructure.
“A single solution reduces capital and operating costs, while being able to identify and resolve latency problems that multiple separate application, network and data capture solutions cannot,” said Donal O’Sullivan, vice president, product management at Corvil.
CorvilNet’s new application capabilities will allow latency-sensitive customers to monitor, trouble shoot and report on latency compliance for market data and order execution at the level of individual messages and transactions.
The new developments mean that trading outages can be quickly traced to their root cause at the network or application layer, allowing specific solutions to be quickly identified, and network and application teams within an organisation to use the same language when analysing trading performance.
