Credit Suisse hires new Asian product head

Credit Suisse has hired Eugene Khaimson as the new head of product for advanced execution services in the Asia Pacific region.

Credit Suisse has hired Eugene Khaimson as the new head of product for advanced execution services in the Asia Pacific region. He reports to Hani Shalabi, the head of advanced execution services, Asia Pacific and will be based in Hong Kong.

He will oversee the development of Credit Suisse’s Asian algo platform, the smart order routers, Credit Suisse’s crossing system – Crossfinder, and the safety and controls platform.

Khaimson joined from Deutsche Bank New York where he had been working for two years as the head of Americas product development and the global head of algo product development. 

Before then, he was based in Hong Kong as the head of product development for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank for three years.

He has also worked in sales and development roles at ITG in Hong Kong and Israel, developing algorithmic trading systems as well as quantitative prediction models for trading.

He replaced Murat Atamer, who left Credit Suisse to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch earlier this year.
