Market operator Deutsche Börse has added eight new State Street Global Advisors-issued (SPDR) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its Xetra platform, including five linked to the performance of companies in emerging markets.

The five emerging market SPDR ETFs are based on the MSCI Emerging Markets Index Series, with three focused on Asia, Europe and Latin America, and the remaining two tracking companies covering all emerging markets across the globe.

Two further equity index ETFs offer investors the chance to invest in the MSCI All Country World Index and MSCI All Country World Investable Market Index, both of which aim to track the performance of equities from industrialised countries and emerging markets.

Deutsche Börse has also added the SPDR Barclays Capital Emerging Market Local Bond ETF, which enables investors to track the performance of bonds from emerging-market countries with liquid local currencies. To be accepted in the index, a minimum of US$1 billion (€700 million) must already have been invested in the relevant bond.

Deutsche Börse now offers a total of 803 ETFs with an average monthly volume of €13 billion.
