Boston-based investment management firm Eaton Vance has selected CDO Software’s CDO Director and CDO Scheduler management tools to help manage its synthetic CDO business.

“CDO Software’s tools are a key component of the systems infrastructure we need to grow our synthetic CDO business,” comments Tom Luster, vice president and co-head, investment-grade fixed income, Eaton Vance.

CDO Software says its suite of products provides firms with the functionality they need to manage synthetic deals, whilst also offering audit and controls capabilities that give investors confidence when analysing a CDO manager’s infrastructure.

“Technology, efficiency and controls are all becoming more and more important in today’s market as investors demand timely information on their investments and responsiveness from managers,” remarks Sunay Shah, CEO, CDO Software. “Investors know that spreadsheets and manual processes carry greater risk – we provide the infrastructure to minimise this risk and help our clients become more efficient when selecting credits for better portfolio management,” he adds.

CDO Software’s management tools are designed for both investors and managers. Investors can monitor their investments and observe the impact the market can have on their deals, rather than depending on monthly reporting that is often delayed and only received two to three weeks following month-end. Managers benefit from tools that help them improve ‘credit cushion’ and rating agency metrics, according to the firm.
