The deal will see SSE Infonet, a subsidiary of Shanghai Stock Exchange, acts as an agent for Euronext market data within China.

Euronext said the deal will enhance the visibility and accessibility of Euronext listed companies and products across cash, derivatives and commodities. It added that China is the largest retail investment market in the world.

The European exchange operator is currently focused on educating the Chinese market on the equities listed on Euronext. It next plans to refine the data packages available to Chinese investors to reflect demand in China.
