Alternative Execution, the electronic and portfolio trading division of London-based agency brokerage Execution, has added Israel to the emerging markets where it offers trading services.

Alternative Execution clients will be able to trade in Israel anonymously, in an agency capacity, using algorithms, direct market access or Execution’s portfolio trading capabilities.

“Although Alternative Execution was only launched in March we are increasingly becoming a one-stop shop for access to emerging markets on the street,” said Tony Nash, head of execution services, Execution, in a statement. “We are trading significant volumes through exchanges such as Poland, where we have accounted for up to 7% of volume in one day, and are offering our clients an effective and efficient way of dealing in these often illiquid markets.”

The Alternative Execution trading platform allows its customers to trade in an agency capacity using the algorithmic suites of four global investment banks. As well as Israel, the platform also provides access to Turkey, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and South Africa.
