Brad Hunt has left his position as a London-based managing director at Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading, the broker's execution services division, to take on a new role at Markit, the financial information services provider, sources have confirmed. Goldman Sachs has not yet replaced him.

In a statement, Lance Uggla, CEO of Markit, said, “Brad Hunt will be joining Markit’s senior management team later this year, bringing with him a wealth of experience in market infrastructure and distribution which we look to apply across all our product areas.”

A spokesperson confirmed that Hunt will report to Markit president Kevin Gould.

Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading announced a series of enhancements to its smart routing logic and suite of algorithms in late April and is due to launch a multilateral trading facility, SIGMA X MTF, in Q2 2011.

The broker did not comment on the move.
