Inter-dealer broker ICAP has appointed Hervé Geny as Global Head of Risk. He now reports to Mark Yallop, ICAP’s Group Chief Operating Officer. ICAP says he is responsible for extending further the firm’s risk management framework.

Geny was previously Head of the Global Risk Management Specialists Group at Moody’s Investor Services in New York. Prior to joining Moody’s he was a Director of Corporate Finance for Merrill Lynch.

“Hervé Geny brings substantial industry experience and global operating knowledge to this vital role,” says Yallop. “We are delighted to appoint an individual of his calibre and expertise to this position. Given our leading position in the wholesale inter dealer broking markets we take the management of all forms of risk very seriously. Hervé will enable us to develop our risk oversight and control processes, in which we have already invested considerable effort, to an even higher level,” he continues.
