Direct Edge ECN has added Interactive Brokers, a broker and market maker, to its Enhanced Liquidity Provider (ELP) programme.

The ELP programme was launched in spring 2006 and offers its subscribers integrated access to multiple sources of displayed and dark liquidity. It routinely executes over 40 million shares per day.

Interactive Brokers specialises in routing orders, executing and processing trades in securities, futures and FX instruments through the 70 exchanges of which it is a member. In its capacity as a broker, it provides investors with direct access to stocks, bonds and futures through a single IB Universal Account.

“More ELPs means our subscribers have the opportunity to interact with more dark liquidity, so we are pleased that Interactive Brokers has joined our network of ELPs,” comments Bryan Harkins, head of sales and strategy at Direct Edge ECN.
