IOSCO expands access to central clearing repository

The International Organization of Securities Commissions has opened access to its information repository for central clearing requirements for OTC derivatives.

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) has opened access to its information repository for central clearing requirements for OTC derivatives.

Until now, only IOSCO members could access the repository, which the organisation launched in February of this year.

Since then, IOSCO says it has gained sufficient experience and gathered enough information on central clearing requirements to open the repository to the public and plans to update its content on a quarterly basis.

The repository sets out the central clearing requirements at a product-by-product level along with any exemptions that may exist.

However, IOSCO notes that the repository is a reference tool and that regulators and market participants should refer to the original version of the relevant laws and regulations.
