Australian financial technology provider IRESS is using data centre service provider Equinix to extend the availability of its market data, access, trading and wealth solutions services in Asia Pacific.
IRESS has chosen to commence operations at the Equinix international business exchange (IBX) data centres in Hong Kong, Singapore and London, which will now complement the existing IRESS deployments in Toronto and Sydney.
By using Equinix’s ecosystem, IRESS can now build service delivery environments which are less complex and more cost efficient. IRESS also gains global data centre network connectivity and can now offer localised services to more customers in Asia.

IRESS supplies share market and wealth management systems in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Solutions include equity and derivative market products for trading, market data and portfolio management. IRESS delivers global market data, buy-side and sell-side order management and execution management, FIX-based order routing, direct exchange connectivity and smart order routing.
