ISDA updates analysis tool with clearing opinions

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association has updated it netting analysis tool to cover ISDA clearing opinions.

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) has updated it netting analysis tool to cover ISDA clearing opinions.

Its netalytics tool for members is a joint venture between ISDA and Allen & Overy affiliate aosphere LLP, providing analysis of netting opinions across 63 jurisdictions.

The upgrade is the culmination of two years’ work from ISDA, which has obtained clearing opinions, which relate to the ISDA/FOA Client Cleared OTC Derivatives Addendum when used in conjunction with an ISDA Master Agreement.

Priority jurisdictions were identified by members and and then clearing member and client opinions were sought loking at close-out netting and other issues of importance.

The opinions are available via the netalytics tool, which gives a standardised report answering 14 key netting questions in each jurisdiction.
