Mizuho Securities, the brokerage arm of Japanese financial services firm Mizuho Financial Group, has launched three new equity analytics products designed specifically for Asian markets.

According to the broker, the development of algorithms and other electronic trading tools in Asia has led to an increase in demand for advanced analytics tools for sell-side firms that want to demonstrate execution performance to their buy-side clients.

StockView, is Mizuho's new pre-trade analytics tool, which allows users to run ”what-if' scenarios to anticipate the expected performance of an algorithm prior to placing an order.

The second product, TradeView, allows users to run post-trade transaction cost analysis and to examine subsets of data. Vision is an execution monitoring tool that provides real-time reports on the behaviour of algorithms.

All three of the products were developed and implemented by Mizuho's own quant analytics team and can be accessed by institutional clients via its new web-based portal.
