Nord Pool, an international commodity exchange for electricity, green certificates, European Union allowances (EUAs) and certified emission reductions (CERs), is to offer its members new access to products listed on the Nordic Power Exchange.

From 3 September, clients will be able to trade Nord Pool's power and emissions contracts through Trayport's GlobalVision Trading Gateway platform. Nord Pool will release the NP Translator, an interface between the Nord Pool Power Click and Trayport's GlobalVision Trading Gateway, to members upon request.

"We have seen an increase in our electronic trading and are pleased to introduce the Trayport interface, which facilitates an additional electronic trading platform for existing and new members," says Torger Lien, CEO, Nord Pool. "Nord Pool contracts can now be traded via several front-end systems including Power Click and Trayport's GlobalVision Trading Gateway," adds Lien.

Trading of Nordic Power contracts and emissions contracts at Nord Pool is available to direct members of Nord Pool.

"Nord Pool has developed the NP Translator in response to demand from our customers. It will enable access to Nord Pool's markets in a more streamlined and efficient way," comments Elliott Piggott, commercial director, Trayport.
