Exchange group NYSE Euronext has teamed up with trading analytics provider William Ryan Group to provide New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) floor brokers with a new transaction cost analysis technology platform.

Using William Ryan’s Execution Cost Management analysis service, which the provider has customised for NYSE, floor brokers can calculate trading costs and rebates for their executions and review costs by trades executed algorithmically and non-algorithmically, billable versus non-billable executions, and aggregate trading-volume analyses. According to NYSE Euronext, the platform will help floor brokers manage their costs, track fees for each client and gain more insight into customer-specific trading activity.

“NYSE is providing this technology to floor-based firms so they can easily access, monitor and analyse this information and use it effectively to benefit the diverse needs of their customers and manage their own business models efficiently,” said Michael Rutigliano, floor operations vice president and broker liaison, NYSE Euronext, in a statement.

“In today’s trading environment, managing trading costs is an important component of managing trade flow” added Robert J. Hendrickson, president and CEO of William Ryan Group.

“Now, all NYSE floor based firms can readily access their trading cost data so that they can design and implement execution strategies on behalf of their customers and measure the results with accurate and timely cost analysis.”??

The platform is available via a website that is updated daily and includes transaction data for the NYSE and NYSE Amex exchanges.
