UK-based investment bank Peel Hunt has gone live with its European platform as part of its commitment to growing its presence in the Bloc.
The firm said the move “reinstated” its desire to facilitate the distribution of research, the trading of shares, and the promotion of investment banking deals into Europe.
The new platform is based in Copenhagen and will be led by chief executive of Peel Hunt International and Peel Hunt Europe James Hipkiss. He will lead a team of eight on Copenhagen across the bank’s products.
“The launch of our European operation marks a pivotal moment in our journey to expand our business beyond the UK and underscores our commitment to offer a joined-up investment banking proposition on an international scale,” said Steven Fine, chief executive of Peel Hunt.
