Research firm opts for Rosenblatt execution tools

Wedge Partners, a provider of technology, media and telecoms research in the US and China, has signed a deal to use execution services from US agency brokerage Rosenblatt Securities.

Wedge Partners, a provider of technology, media and telecoms (TMT) research in the US and China, has signed a deal to use execution services from US agency brokerage Rosenblatt Securities.

The deal lets Wedge Partners’ clients use Rosenblatt’s full suite of execution tools, which includes upstairs portfolio, single-stock, exchange-traded fund and options trading, as well as access to liquidity on the New York Stock Exchange floor.

“By partnering with Rosenblatt, an acknowledged leader in delivering quality execution and understanding the complex market structure, we are both expanding and strengthening the execution offering to our clients and can be confident that our clients receive superior execution quality,” explained Kirk Adams, founder and CEO of Wedge Partners. “At the same time, outsourcing our execution requirements allows us to focus on our core business of providing differentiated US and China TMT research to institutions.”

“While still focusing on our core value proposition of trade execution, analytics and market structure advice, we have in a measured fashion continued to expand our content offering to help our clients with alpha-generation,” added Joe Gawronski, president and COO of Rosenblatt.

“We began providing market and sector coverage to clients in 2012 with the addition of a macro strategist and an exchanges analyst and then earlier this month added an energy analyst. Wedge’s leading TMT research fits right in with our approach to equity analysis as they also eschew conventional buy-sell-hold ratings and maintenance-oriented research in favour of deep dive, expert analysis and high touch service,” Gawronski said.
