Agency broker ITG has launched an analytics suite to enable asset managers to benchmark their trading investment performance against 20% of global institutional trading activity.
The service lets institutional investors examine raw execution-level trading data , but also offers detailed performance reporting and consulting.
Ian Domowitz, managing director and head of analytics at ITG, said: “The insights from ITG Peer Analytics can be used to track and improve investment performance as well as inform decision-making in key areas such as investment and trading policy, algorithm and broker selection and performance reviews.”
ITG said the service will help clients to improve their investment performance, and estimates that trading impact costs US institutional investors over US$15 million each trading day.
By using Peer Analytics to compare trade costs to an anonymous data set, investors will be able to refine their own trading processes to minimise these costs. The service will also be supported by ITG’s team of consultants, who can give hands-on recommendations to help clients improve performance.
Data can be used to generate rankings, reports and view best practice within a firm’s peer group.
