Clients of StreamBase Systems, a provider of complex event processing (CEP) technology, can now trade equities listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange via alternative trading system Chi-X Canada.
“The connectivity agreement will allow participants more choice in how they route orders to, and receive pricing information from, Chi-X Canada,” said Dan Kessous, COO of Chi-X Canada, in a statement.
According to StreamBase, its platform gives customers access to a range of equity exchanges and electronic venues in Canada with anonymity, low latency, greater liquidity and lower transaction costs.
“Combined with the real-time data processing capabilities inherent in the StreamBase CEP platform, firms are able to gain instant market insight that improves their trading performance,” added Mark Palmer, CEO, StreamBase.
