Technology services provider SunGard has integrated software firm GL Trade, which became part of SunGard's Global Trading business in 2009, into its Valdi brand to bring together all SunGard software product lines for trading on global listed markets under a single brand name.

As a result, all GL Stream products will change their names, with the trading workstation GL Win, for example, becoming Valdi Trader. The rebranding of these GL Stream solutions is designed to complete the Valdi suite that was launched in 2010, including: Valdi OMS, an order management system initially dedicated to US financial markets; Valdi Liquidity Solutions, a set of services for equities trading in the US and Europe; Valdi Market Access, which offers ASP-based market connectivity services; Valdi Execution Services, SunGard's electronic brokerage business; and Valdi EMS, an execution management system for buy-side firms.

The consolidation means that over 800 SunGard customers worldwide will now be using Valdi trading solutions. The firm also recently launched a direct market access (DMA) service for pan-European equity markets through Valdi Execution Services, and also expanded its global network to provide DMA to equities and derivatives traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
