On Monday, Volante Technologies, a provider of platform-independent data management solutions to the financial services industry, announced that SWIFT has awarded it the SWIFTReady Gold Messaging Library certification. The SWIFTReady Gold Messaging Library label is a new category created in 2006 based on the requirements of decoupling FIN messages from middleware in Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services environments.

"Volante simplifies the process of message management starting from message definition, mapping, transformation, documentation, message entry and repair, all the way through to database persistence. This is the kind of offering the SWIFT community can truly benefit from," comments Eric Meirlaen, business analyst at SWIFT.

Volante's SWIFT-compatible product modules have been used by financial service organisations for a wide variety of applications, including payment processing, corporate actions, market data, best execution and trade processing, says the firm. Volante's products are used to build solutions for regulatory initiatives, including SEPA, Treasury Management and MiFID. Volante also provides pre-built format library and message mapping capabilities between complex formats. Vijay Oddiraju, CEO, Volante Technologies says, "Volante has changed the time and cost equation by creating SWIFT-compliant applications that are quick to produce and easy to maintain."
