The Taiwan Exchange (TWSE) is on the road in Europe and hopes to strike up a relationship with the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Lee Sush-der, chairman of TWSE, has been leading a delegation to London this week, where they met with the LSE to discuss for potential cooperation,

The areas of interest include the promotion of the Taiwan and London capital markets and cross-border trading mechanisms.

The notion behind their road trip is to encourage more international investors to come to the Taiwan market.

In London, the TWSE hosted a seminar to introduce the latest developments of the Taiwan capital market to institutional investors and explained market reforms that have been recently introduced to the Taiwan market.

Last week we reported that TWSE has fully implemented its second generation automated securities trading system which will triple capacity. In June, TWSE changed its rules to allow day trading to take place for 200 stocks.
