Tbricks extends access to CBOE

Trading technology provider Orc has added an interface with the Chicago Board Options Exchange to its Tbricks platform.

Trading technology provider Orc has added an interface with the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) to its Tbricks platform.

The high-speed interface will enable Tbricks users to obtain quotes and traded in CBOE products including equity options and index options. It also features a link to the CBOE Futures Exchange.

Orc acquired Tbricks at the beginning of 2015 in order to strengthen its existing exchange traded derivatives technology offering. Orc previously offered access to CBOE through other products but said the latest deal is a significant step forward in functionality.

Tools available to traders using Tbricks will include volatility and risk management, team quotes and access to various types of quotes.

“We are pleased to add Orc Tbricks as a certified software product with complete connectivity to CBOE and CFE,” said Gerald O’Connell, CBOE executive vice president and chief information officer. “This new interface offers our trading permit holders (TPHs) and their customers a high-performance derivatives trading technology solution.”
