Tim Lind joins Omgeo to lead strategic planning

Omgeo, a post-trade, pre-settlement services provider, has appointed Tim Lind managing director, strategic planning. Reporting directly to Marianne Brown, president and CEO, he is also a member of Omgeo’s executive team.

The firm says the addition of Mr. Lind to Omgeo underscores its ongoing commitment to deepening its footprint in the post-trade space through growth regionally and via additional asset classes. Mr. Lind will focus on leveraging internal and external partnerships to provide business strategy leadership and guidance for executive decisions and ensure that all business decisions continue to be supported by sound operational, market and financial analysis.

Prior to joining Omgeo, Mr. Lind was senior vice president, product management and strategy at GoldenSource Corporation. There he was responsible for strategic planning, product requirements and setting priorities for the software company and was also a member of GoldenSource's executive team. Previously, Mr. Lind was director, securities and investments at TowerGroup. As such, he advised senior executives of top-tier financial institutions and technology vendors on the implementation of technology to improve operational efficiency and long-term business strategies.

He also executed primary research and authored forward-looking research reports on the evolution of technology within the capital markets industry. Mr. Lind previously held positions at SWIFT, Brown Brothers Harriman and Dean Witter Reynolds.
