Transaction Network Services (TNS), a market data and connectivity provider, has added Turquoise, the pan-European trading platform, to its expanding portfolio of trading venues and established a market data connection to the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE).

The connection to TWSE will allow the exchange’s end-users, data vendors and other intermediaries to access real-time market data from around the world. This deal also allows financial organisations already connected to the TNS network to establish links with TWSE.

“TNS’ Secure Trading Extranet is optimised to handle mission critical connectivity, providing low latency data dissemination to support active trading decision making and where needed, direct market access," said John Owens, vice president, exchanges and ECNs, TNS. "It’s an increasingly valuable technology for the rapidly growing financial community in Asia.”

On the connection with Turquoise, Owens added. “We are working with an ever growing number of ATS’s and are delighted to bring Turquoise on board. The deal will provide buyers and sellers that want to trade pan-European equities with rapid access to the new trading platform. It will also provide our clients with reliable, secure and low latency connectivity to Turquoise either for orders or for its free market data.”

"We’re committed to working with the European investment community to ensure that trading on Turquoise is as straightforward as possible,” explained Yann L'Huillier, chief technology officer, Turquoise. “We’re pleased to announce the agreement with TNS, as it provides European market participants with greater choice in how they route orders to and receive pricing information from Turquoise."
