Trading begins in ISE FX Options

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) has launched trading in ISE FX Options. Four currency pairs began trading on 17 April on ISE’s options exchange: US dollar/euro (symbol: EUI), US dollar/British pound (symbol: BPX), US dollar/Japanese yen (symbol: YUK), and US dollar/Canadian dollar (Symbol: CDD). All four options classes traded with an aggregate volume of 101 contracts.

ISE says ISE FX Options provide investors with a new product to gain exposure to movements in the global foreign currency markets and allow traders to express their views on the strength or weakness of the US dollar. The firm adds that because the options are

exchange-listed, theycan be easily accessed through most major brokerage accounts that are approved for trading equity and index options. These products will be cash-settled and have European-style exercise.
