WEX deploys Corvil’s tech for execution performance

Wolverine Execution Services looks to maintain its 99% fill rate for market options orders.

Wolverine Execution Services (WEX) has employed Corvil to help it improve and maintain execution quality through real-time performance tools.

WEX’s trading platform currently allows multi-asset classes to be executed across multiple venues, with a 99% fill rate for market options orders.

It said Corvil’s technology will ease the increased pressures of best execution by providing further transparency into client order flows.

Donal Byrne, chief executive officer at Corvil, explained an understanding between speed variability and price certainty across venues provides firms with a “significant competitive advantage.”

Corvil added WEX will obtain a comprehensive picture of its business and infrastructure performance in real-time, which can help identify and solve operational issues.

Troy Googins, head of product and business development at WEX, said: “As the market becomes increasingly fragmented it has become even more important for us to be aware of all the factors that could affect execution quality across every exchange.”
