The Vienna-based stock exchange Wiener Börse will disseminate the price data of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) via its Alliance Data Highway (ADH) data feed.

The agreement sealing the cooperation was signed by Ivan Steriev, CEO of the MSE, and Michael Buhl and Heinrich Schaller, management board members of Wiener Börse and CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESAG) of which the Vienna exchange is a member.

The move is part of an effort by the Vienna exchange to facilitate the consolidation of data dissemination in central and eastern Europe, allowing data vending customers of Wiener Börse to obtain data from 11 markets via a single interface. The data covers all of the CEESAG exchanges (Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana and Prague) as well as the stock exchanges of Bucharest, Sarajevo and Banja Luka.

In addition, data from the CEGH gas exchange of the Wiener Börse, the power exchange EXAA (Energy Exchange Austria) and PXE (Prague Energy Exchange) will also be disseminated via ADH. Currently, over 200 data vendors distribute the financial information and price data.

The Vienna stock exchange is currently vying with the Warsaw Stock Exchange to become the dominant venue in central and eastern Europe, and owns a majority share in the Prague, Budapest and Ljubljana exchanges. As of the end of September 2010, there were 164 companies listed on the MSE, with a market capitalisation of around €2 billion.
