Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange names new head of capital markets

Appointment has previously served in senior roles at JP Morgan, Citi and LSEG.

Alex Krunic has joined the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) as chief capital markets officer, following four years working in Kuwait.

In the new position, Krunic will play an active role in advancing ADX’s market strategy, broadening its product offering, deepening institutional engagement, and supporting the next phase of the exchange’s growth.

Krunic has 25 years of international capital markets experience from a range of roles across the trading and post-trade sectors. Specifically, his career includes post-trade roles at LCH, Societe Generale, JP Morgan and Citi, among others. 

Commenting on his appointment, Krunic said: “I am delighted to join ADX at such a pivotal moment in its growth. ADX has built a market with strong foundations and unprecedented results as one of the fast-growing multi-asset exchanges in the region.
