INDATA, a provider of software solutions for buy-side firms, has released the latest version of its investment management system, IMS Version 7. The new version includes new software module INDATA Mobile, new application service provider IMS ASP, and a new system administration service (SA) that allows clients to outsource the administration of their IMS.

“While competing solutions typically have a specialisation with either in-house or outsourced solutions, INDATA now offers the best of both worlds and allows investment managers to focus on managing assets without having to worry about IT,” says David Csiki, managing director, INDATA. The new version is based on the latest offerings from Microsoft including SQL Server 2005, Reporting Services and Windows Mobile.

INDATA Mobile, a product based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system, allows users to integrate their IMSs with wireless devices. It offers remote access to key IMS modules including INDATA’s web-based customer relationship management tool (CRM) and front-office module, InContact, its order management system, and the firm’s portfolio accounting system.
