ADX opens market data access to LLMs

The integration will allow users to query the stock exchange market data in plain language through AI platforms already in use, removing the need for specialist terminals, complex APIs or technical intermediaries.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has made its market data available through conversational AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude and other large language models (LLMs), extending access to investors, institutions, developers and other market participants.

Access runs through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, giving AI assistants and agentic workflows on-demand access to ADX datasets.

Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, group chief executive officer of ADX, said: “By removing technical barriers that once required a specific setup, everyone now has live access to ADX data through simple prompts. We believe this will contribute to greater market transparency, wider financial participation, and a more accessible investment ecosystem.”

The offering is aimed at brokers developing their own AI trading assistants, institutional investors seeking order book visibility and segmented data flows, fintech developers and research firms building analytics tools, and retail investors querying market information directly.

The move is expected to support market transparency and wider participation. Users can retrieve per-symbol market depth, bid-ask spreads and price-discovery signals, trading statistics split by retail versus institutional and foreign versus local flows, structured XBRL financial disclosures and index constituent and reference data.
