Yuri Aldakimov has been appointed as Moscow equity trading head for Citigroup Global Markets, overseeing its Russian trading activities.
He will report to Gil Peleg, head of Citi's equity trading desk for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Alexei Bolshakov, head of Russian equities.
Aldakimov previously worked for Sberbank CIB as head of equity trading and has over 15 years of industry experience.
He has also worked for Citi in the past as a senior trader and co-head of the Russian equities trading team between 2005 and 2010.

Commenting on the appointment, Peleg said: "We are pleased to welcome Yuri to our Russia equity trading platform as we continue to expand our presence in this important and growing market. We are confident that the team in Moscow will greatly benefit from Yuri's experience and continue its development to provide our clients with the sophisticated level of service and liquidity they need".
