Aldakimov hire adds to Citi Russia presence

Yuri Aldakimov has been appointed as Moscow equity trading head for Citigroup Global Markets, overseeing its Russian trading activities.

Yuri Aldakimov has been appointed as Moscow equity trading head for Citigroup Global Markets, overseeing its Russian trading activities.

He will report to Gil Peleg, head of Citi's equity trading desk for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Alexei Bolshakov, head of Russian equities.

Aldakimov previously worked for Sberbank CIB as head of equity trading and has over 15 years of industry experience.

He has also worked for Citi in the past as a senior trader and co-head of the Russian equities trading team between 2005 and 2010.

Citi has made a number of hires on its Russian equity trading team, adding Bolshakov in April this year and Alexander Fonarkov is due to join the bank's London-based Russian desk as a senior equity trader.
