Aquis promotes from within for new sales head and new head of liquidity and trading strategies

Appointments collectively have over two decades of experience at the exchange; previously served at Instinet, AKJ, Curzon Securities, Liquidnet, and Chi-X Europe, The TRADE can reveal.

Aquis Exchange has promoted two of its long-standing employees to take up new roles as head of sales and head of liquidity and trading strategies.

Pasquale Crispi has been promoted to head of liquidity and trading strategies after serving at the exchange for just under 10 years as a director of sales and business development. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the exchange’s liquidity provider relationships.

Prior to joining Aquis Exchange, Crispi previously served in various sales trading and trading services roles across Instinet, AKJ, Curzon Securities and Liquidnet Europe.

Alongside Crispi, Sakeena Lalljee has been appointed head of sales after spending the last 10 years serving in business development roles. In her new role she will be responsible overseeing the exchange’s member services.

Lalljee joined Aquis Exchange in 2013 from Chi-X Europe, following a brief stint at Instinet.

“Both Sakeena and Pasquale have been instrumental in developing Aquis’ client-centric and hands-on service approach, allowing us over the last decade to deliver against the company’s strategy and values,” said David Stevens, chief revenue officer at Aquis.

“They have both been part of the Aquis team since pre-launch and I am looking forward to working with them over the coming years to continue to deliver the most high-quality, low impact and cost-effective trading service for our clients.”
